Wowza at how time sped up on me. I only have a week left of my NOLA life. I've got a thousand things to do and nothing to do at the same time.
Im both dreading this move and looking forward to it, if that is possible.
I've been moving so much lately that the thought of packing everything back into that tiny mustang gives me the heebeejeebees (sp?). Luckily, everything I own fits in that tiny car (except my ikea 3 drawer dresser). Taking up the most space goes to DING DING YOU GOT IT my many jackets. i'd say a good 50% of my closet are jackets of some sort. They are just so cozy and I am always cold it seems to fit the bill. I have LSU jackets, warm jackets, sweater jackets, work jackets, summer jackets, thin jackets, thick jackets, cozy-not-warm-but-soft jackets, and one jacket that I can wear with an actual outfit. That's just me. Obsessions of being cozy--hence the jackets, coffee, and various office supplies. Hey, that list could be filled with much worse things. Back to the issue though....jackets are heavy, thick, and not good stackers for the moving process. I'll get rid of all underwear and socks though to keep those jackets, mark my words.
As i'm typing this up, I'm going through my belonging and just purging all the non-necessities. It's cathartic and lovely. I have my aloha orchid candle burning (shoutout to Kelly) and the "head over boots" station playing on pandora. What a lovely Saturday evening in for me.
EEEKKKK guess what I did today though...before all this productivity stuff. I spent the day with kelly and the fam/friends looking for her wedding gown. We went to two shops and one superior grill.
**side note: I actually ninja-d away from the group en route to the last gown shop, ninja-d into a local coffee shop, and ninja-d on out and back into the group like a pro. It was delicious and necessary. Ayyy krewe-du-brew, I appreciate you.
I wish I could share a picture of her in her gown bc it is TO DIE FOR but, alas, I cannot. Y'all just hold on until September for that photo.
Well.... wait...maybe i could.... TADA.

Love this girl!
I actually met Kelly as a random roommate in college and it couldn't have worked out better. We both majored in science, drank way too much coffee, and had a certain appreciation for muffins. I know that last one sounds weird but she would make these pumpkin choco chip ones that i swear had betty crocker's soul within them. I used to make these pretty snazzy/healthy blueberry ones but I really wouldn't compare them to hers. I really did cry when she asked me to stand in her wedding. Mostly because I'm a total sap. She's such a thoughtful human. It's truly insane. She'll remember the name of someone's half-sister from a story I told her 18 months ago. I try to be that good but it's practically impossible for my neurons. She gave me this candle that I've been eyeing for EVER as a home warming present when I moved into my NOLA apartment and is just always there when I need her. She even called me on my way to the bridal shop to help me figure out parking. What. a. doll.
So here's to you and your fiancé RKelly. Today was so special. P.S. You can stand in my wedding in March of 2073.
