Today started with a masssssive headache. This bloody eye thing is getting super old. Oh I haven't done an update on that! I went to the eye doctor. He checked me out and determined my eyes are very healthy I just popped blood vessels, likely two in each eye. He has never seen it this severe and said that if it were just one eye like this he'd still be impressed. As Madison says, my eyes are just over achievers. He also told me two really crappy pieces of information. (1) It will likely take 3 weeks to go away due to amount of blood and (2) it will turn from red, to brown, to yellow before it goes back to white. Little does he know, I have a very healthy system and am determined to beat this 3 week mark. Papa Miller provided me with some facts on vitamins for eye health and I have since been eating sweet potato, oranges **I'm slightly peeved, though, as the THREE oranges I bought all taste crappy and not like the amazing aussie oranges I'm used to** and pineapple as if my life counted on it. . Which it does - my social life anyways.

Case in point: I went to the microwave without my sunnies yesterday and was met with both a "HOLY SH!T" and a "you should really go somewhere for that". Lovely.

Tonight, Elisa and I went for dinner at King Street. We went to King St but then realized that the Camperdown Hotel has two for one burgers on Tuesday so we quickly edited our route towards Parramatta. I realize y'all have no barracks on what this means so I have provided a map. When we got to Camp Hotel the kitchen had just closed - darn the luck. Now we must power walk all the way back to King Street. I felt like I was back to my first week on living here, being awful at walking, as Elisa just hopped down the road in her Aussie local ways. We eventually ended up at this place called "Bangkok bites".

walked over 3 miles for that Bangkok

I have eyed this place since I first arrived as you can just feel the atmosphere from the street. It has fun music, graffiti walls, and the coolest lighting fixtures. Plus, I have no idea what Bangkok food is so I guess that added a bit of elusive mystery to the mix. We split some yummies and really enjoyed it! I just felt cool being there. Can't wait to take you, Mallory!

The cool radio DJ herself!

I've bought my official ticket back to the states and really want to enjoy the rest of my time in the city. I realized that I often just walk past this place trying to get from one place to another and never take the time to appreciate where is am. After my morning headache subsided, I put on a sundress and sunnies. I spent a good bit of time walking around Newtown while window shopping and people watching. I had, of course, stopped at cloud 9 for a gelato cone with DARK CHOCOLATE DRIZZLE before commencing this process. I even walked through a dog park. Can you say great day? Medical school applications were still a portion of my day but there is no riveting way that I can describe that so I'll leave it out of the blog. I'm working as much as I can on my medical school secondaries before Mallory gets here. I get major headaches from looking at the bright screen of my computer due to my demon eyes and usually only have a window of 2-3 hours to get things done. I've just about finished Arkansas, New Orleans, and Shreveport. This means I only have about 4 more to go. Shoutout to my mom for mailing things off for me as I finish them <3. I'm putting a great deal of effort into these. I will really be crushed if I don't get any interviews. If I do get rejected, however, I will just have to work on my MCAT score (as much as it depressed me to even think of). I am determined to be a physician. I will just have to make myself better and better until it is my time. Hashtag Dedication Station!

Dear any medical school out there:

My last shift of work at the House of Crabs is this Saturday, Halloween, and I'm so not happy about it. I really love working here. Yes, I'm a freak who enjoys work. I'm conflicted on if I want to eat here before I leave or if I should even set myself up for the disappointment. I love my fresh daddy-caught seafood too much. Maybe I could do the prawns? Eh. I'll see. What am I thinking? I hate prawns. I do like the black bean chili sauce though. Maybe I could just order that and bread. I get that for free everyday anyways. Ugh the struggle of decisions.

T minus two days til Mallory gets here! KEWFJ FDKALV;NDSLAFD SAKSHGDS,F VSGfkDMSAD
