Yesterday was the Welcome to Sydney party at the University bar! There are two bars smack dab in the middle of campus - a normal thing due to the younger drinking age here. I kept walking around thinking...this seems so illegal to me.
Before the party, we decided we wanted to have a proper dinner! It was so delicious. I was mostly in charge of the salad and vegetables since we all know how dangerous I am with cooking appliances. We even had sweet baby ray's with our grilled sausages. Yes, I did find sweet baby ray's BBQ in a grocery store in Australia (what even).

**everybody act like you are doing something important** **grabs bottle of wine**
We made our way to the party and were immediately met with strife. Some very angry lady stopped me as I was walking in, pointed, and said that I was not going in as I had been pre-drinking. I almost laughed because the entirety of my alcohol intake was a glass of wine maybe two hours earlier in the day. I tried to tell her that and she then says, "Well, I saw someone offer you a beer by the steps." This did not happen. Basically, I think she had a bad experience with America at some point in her life and took it out on me. Maybe her pet fish died earlier that day. Maybe she was fighting a bad sunburn. Maybe she had a hang-nail. Maybe I looked like the girl who messed up her coffee order that morning. Who knows...
Manning bar was amazing. We all know I like to get down on the dance floor. Their music here is about two years behind and it is so great. It was throwback heaven to me. Everyone was impressed because I knew all of the words. :)
You guys. Soulja boy came on. I am not kidding.
Even funnier is that they have a party called "throwback" next week. I am SEAUX curious as to what that playlist will consist of. **inserts the cry-laughing emoji**

Their natty light is called Tooheys. I had this thought that if you put Natty light and Tooheys into one word it could be "TooNatty" which sounds like "too nasty" which would be applicable to both beers. <-- welcome to my mind
We later moved down into the city to a bar called Ivy. The entrance is free on Thursdays and is supposedly the hot spot to be. In order to get in, you have to go down a hill and make it through a sober check-point. Bouncers are outside watching you with flashlights. If you look intoxicated at all they ban you from entering. We passed two of these stations before we were able to get in. These aussies are some serious folks. Ivy was so packed that it was comparable to St. Charles during Bacchus and it was FOUR STORIES tall. There was supposedly a pool inside but we never could locate it hehe.
This morning I...wait for it...made a panini. I used a panini maker, not a stove, for all of you concerned individuals out there. It was so yum. It had cheddar, spinach, and tomato in it. Top Chef Brooke! Ri, Natascha, and I later went to a place called "mmm...Chocolate" in Newtown and it was nothing short of amazing. With a name like that, how wrong could you go? When I ordered a macchiato, though, I did not expect it to come in one of those cups that we use to wash out toothpaste at the dentist's office. It was soooooo yummy that I could not complain. Super strong- just how I like it!

This was almost $7
On our walk back home, we just so happened to stumble upon an absolutely amazing cemetery. The only downside was that it seemed as though everyone in there just so happened to die in February.... (good think I am leaving here before Feb so BAM! take that creepy aussie cemetery)

Ri has some serious photography talent

lolz

can you say beautiful?

I wouldn't ever come here at night

I love age of the tombstones with the modern graffiti in the back

R.I.P.

This one was my favorite

I love how this one turned out!
We ran into a double rainbow on our way back as well! You can't see the second band too well but it is beautiful nonetheless!

Where are my lucky charms?

A pack of notecards here, a single pack, is $5.50
The skin off of my feet is just peeling straight off. I've never walked so much in my life and I just signed up for a walk from Coogee to Bondi tomorrow. This is about a 7 or 8 miles trip but the views are said to be absolutely gorgeous. Just because I am not used to this doesn't mean I will miss out on anything! Double layer of socks and an extra gulp of will power it is!
They are REALLY big into banana bread here. It is sold just about anywhere that takes currency.
I've been told that this is the coldest temperatures Aus has had in 15 years. Thanks for waiting for me Mother Nature! ;)
We have a tunnel set aside for graffiti artists on campus
